Shamanic Soul Retrieval & Detox with Karuna & Cat
Ayurvedic-Based Cleansing to Enhance Inner Journey Healing
JANUARY 23-28, 2014
During this 5-night, 6-day retreat with Karuna DiLibero and Cathyria Finet, participants will be introduced to a unique blending of Ayurvedic cleansing and detox practices combined with Shamanic Healing. Participants will learn about the basic nutritional teachings of Ayurveda. We will follow a very basic mono-diet to relax the digestive system and cook some of our meals together so you can learn how to make these recipes at home. You will learn various daily practices, dinacharya, to increase your health, radiance and well-being.
The “Slow Flow” Vinyasa daily yoga practice that will be offered by Karuna is specifically designed to support your varied energetic needs while cleansing.
When we cleanse, we purge the body, mind and spirit of many impurities. Cleansing drastically reduces the amount of toxins that naturally accumulate in our bodies as well as common conditions we live with but don’t need to such as, allergies, swelling or inflammation, stiffness or pain in our joints, trouble sleeping, food cravings, digestive problems, inability to concentrate, weight gain, bloating, headaches, mood swings and a compromised immune system.
This is optimal as we prepare for Shamanic Soul Retrieval work with Cat that will be explored throughout the retreat.
From a shamanic perspective, it is believed that whenever we suffer an emotional or physical pain, a part of our soul flees the body in order to survive the experience. The definition of soul used here is our essence, life force, the part of our vitality that keeps us alive and thriving.
In the Soul Retrieval that we will do, participants will be guided into a shamanic state of consciousness (through the sound of drums and other sacred instruments). Throughout the week, we will explore the original wounds that caused the soul piece to flee, the contract that was associated with it, and some of the unique gifts we carry that we need to become aware of for our own self-transformation. This work will be anchored through various activities such as personal and group exercises, sand-painting, and an evening sacred fire ceremony.
No prior knowledge of shamanism or Ayurveda is necessary for participating in this retreat.
